Recently, the establishment of the Pollmann location in Mexico was coordinated entirely from Austria. From now on, there will be contact persons directly on site. The new Operations Director, Edgar Castorena and HR Manager, Juan Guevara will be involved in the development of the new Mexican location.

Together, Edgar Castorena and Juan Guevara are the local, new contacts for the production and the employees. Both have previous experience with multicultural companies and are ready to take of this new challenge. "I am sure that they will bring a great additional value to this project with their background knowledge," confirms Stefan Pollmann after an intensive training week from January 18 to 22.

Over the past few months, one of the biggest difficulties has been the worldwide, constantly changing COVID situation, in which Pollmann has proven his resilience well. The limited communication with stakeholders and service providers on the local area, made the situation even more difficult. However, we are convinced that the first local staff will simplify the coordination step by step.

The next steps for Mexico are about to start. The injection molding equipment will be delivered from Europe, followed by the automation lines for the assembly. The upcoming task for the project team is therefore to guarantee that all technical installations are ready for their arrival in spring 2021.
