Successful apprenticeship graduates at Pollmann have the opportunity to work at one of the company’s international locations. Maximilian Haitzer is a perfect example. In 2013, Haitzer started his apprenticeship in Plastics Engineering at Pollmann in Karlstein. Since October 2019, he has been working at Pollmann China - initially for one year, but with the option to extend his assignment.
Haitzer has been using the opportunities for career advancement at Pollmann from the very start. In his third apprenticeship year, he participated in performing process control and MVR inspections for purchased plastics and issuing approvals. In 2017, he successfully completed his apprenticeship in Plastics Engineering. After graduation, he was assigned to Production, Unit 5 (Plastic Injection Molding), and assumed shift responsibility shortly thereafter.
"I always wanted to work abroad for a while and then had the opportunity to get to know the China location during a two-week stay. After that, the decision was easy”, said Maximilian Haitzer.
At the China location, Haitzer applies his injection molding know-how especially to new projects and works with his local colleagues to analyze optimization solutions for the highly automated injection molding production.
As one of the largest industrial employers in the Upper Waldviertel, Pollmann believes in the consistent development of its employees as it expands the company to meet the challenges of an increasingly global automotive world. To secure the future availability of skilled personnel, Pollmann focuses on its in-house apprenticeship program.
