On May 30, 2021 we celebrate 30 years of POLLMANN Czech Republic. As Pollmann's first international site, mechanical counters for passenger cars were produced in Jindřichův Hradec in the Czech Republic at the beginning. Today, Pollmann Czech Republic is an important production site for mechatronic components for the sunroof, door and e-mobility sectors.  

The way to the Czech Republic and its ongoing expansion 

The company was founded on May 30, 1991 as the first international location of the Austrian company Pollmann. The production of mechanical counters for passenger cars was started in a former LADA factory. The new production hall, opened in 2001, which increased the production area to 2,200 m2. With the basic extension and modernization of the production halls in 2004, the Czech site was developed to become the assembly center of the Pollmann Group. 

Through the purchase of the area of Motor Jikov Strojírenská a.s. and a reconstruction of the production hall, the production area could be extended to 15.800m2 in 2015. So it became possible to serve a larger market.  

Start of plastic injection 

In January 2011, the first injection molding machine was installed at the Czech site and the first plastic components were produced.  

Meanwhile, 32 injection molding machines from Engel, Netstal and Arburg are operating in Jindřichův Hradec and the location supplies customers such as Webasto, Inalfa, Brose and Kiekert. Pollmann Czech Republic is certified to IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015. 

The Czech site currently employs 450 employees and has taken the position of the most important employer in the region. This position was achieved thanks to the high quality work of our employees.The current management is carried out by Ing. Soňa Nováková and Ing. Drahomír Koudelka. Last year Pollmann Czech Republic was able to generate a turnover of almost 1 billion CZK (~36 million EUR).
