Pollmann acquires TB&C in China

Continues to expand core sunroof business

Effective June 24, 2020, Pollmann Mechatronics Kunshan – a 100% subsidiary of Pollmann International – signed an agreement for the acquisition of 100% of the TB&C Suzhou shares. Founded in 2016, the company has become an established manufacturer of high-quality sunroof mechanisms for the Chinese market. The seller is the former Philips subsidiary TB&C Holding GmbH headquartered in Herborn.

Innovative company with 50 employees
By acquiring the 50 employee company, Pollmann is strengthening its global position as the market leader in sunroof mechanisms and especially in the important Chinese sales market. The Suzhou und Kunshan locations are only an hour’s drive apart. The agreement still has to be approved by the regulatory authorities and will probably be completed in the 3rd quarter of 2020. Ewald Miksche, our Managing Director in Kunshan, is handling the acquisition.
