The aim of the Lean Circle meeting at Pollmann was to exchange experience on the concepts of digitalization and smart factory. Guests included the companies E. Hawle Armaturenwerke, Greiner Packaging, swisspor Austria, Teufelberger, voestalpine Turnout Technology Zeltweg and Worthington Cylinders. On the part of Pollmann, the meeting was organized by the Operations department.

The presentations held had to be based on some key concepts, such as complete traceability, data-driven process control, quality assurance in production, automatic defect detection, paperless production, intelligent maintenance, automation of test cells, and transformation automation/digitalization.

Second place for Pollmann
Of course, a guided tour through the Pollmann plant with interesting insights into the running production could not be missed. In addition, Pollmann subsidiaries Maxxom Automation and Pollmann Werkzeugbau also took advantage of the meeting to present themselves and their current activities.

In doing so, Pollmann definitely succeeded in leaving a positive impression. The efforts of the organization team were rewarded with second place in the final scoring. However, it is particularly pleasing that the network for a future exchange in the field of lean management was successfully expanded.

During a guided tour, the participants were able to get an impression of the production at the Pollmann headquarters.
