Since January 11, 2021, Josef Bauer has been the new Managing Director of Pollmann Austria. With many years of experience in the automotive sector, as well as his know-how in lean management and operations, Josef Bauer was chosen as the ideal candidate for this important position.

"I have been working in the automotive industry for more than 25 years, mostly with Tier 1 suppliers in the operation area. During my time at MAGNA, I acted as a production technician and then as head of injection molding production for BMW and Audi.

For the last 15 years, as factory manager and general manager of two production plants, I realized many successful projects, including the expansion of a supplier site in Slovakia. My involvement in the areas of production relocations, lean management and restructuring expanded my know-how.

I see myself as an uncomplicated, optimistic and target-oriented person; and support a systematic, consistent and structured approach to all tasks.

I consider the support of cross-departmental cooperation between sales, project management, engineering and the producing department as a fundamental part of my function.  But also the coordination and assurance of measures and results for the Austrian locations Karlstein and Vitis are an essential part of my tasks.

I am confident that together we will succeed in the further development of the production operations."
