Drahomír Koudelka has been the new Managing Director of Pollmann Czech Republic since February 1, 2020 together with Sona Nováková.

While he certainly did not wish for these challenging times, he has the skills and experience to face them head on. With many years of professional experience in the automotive market and excellent language skills in Czech, English and German, Koudelka is eminently qualified for this responsible position.

Koudelka succeeds previous Managing Director Michael Hauer who left Pollmann at his own request to take on a new challenge. We regret this decision and thank Mr. Hauer for his many years of service in our company.

Life motto: Improvement is a constant process

"Good day. My name is Drahomír Koudelka. I have been working in production companies for more than 20 years, most of them for Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive sector. I started my career as a coordinator of CIP projects and was also the head of a small but fine production area very early on. Soon I was given responsibility for new, larger projects. Some production transfers from other countries to the Czech Republic were interesting. In this way, I quickly got tasks as a production manager.

For the past 15 years I have been the head of production companies. There I was able to build up a lot of know-how in the areas of change control, the start-up of new projects and the expansion of production capacities. This ranged from setting up operations on the green field to the final expansion of new halls in older, grown production complexes. I've also dealt with crisis situations and their effects in my career.

I see myself as a practical and pragmatic person. I believe that with a systematic approach and continuous improvement, great things can be achieved. Set goals become achievable step by step, even if they may seem unsolvable at first. I have the philosophy of 'Continuous Improvement' in my heart. So I always prefer to take a small step in the right direction than to wait too long for outside help or even a miracle.

I am particularly familiar with just-in-time conditions. I worked for a long time under this pressure of delivery. Because of this, I know that a quick response is always the best way to solve a problem. I will certainly not only take on my new role from the office. It is just as important to me to be in production often and to experience the challenges the employees have to face on a daily basis.

I was able to get to know the Pollmann company on the supplier side. Pollmann's claim to technical and technological development in automation and robotization processes has regularly impressed me very much.

In my new role at Pollmann, I take full responsibility for results and target achievement. I am convinced that together we will be able to continue the further development of this production company. I'm really looking forward to working with you! "
