Girls' Day at Pollmann

At Pollmann, we are passionately committed to inspiring young women for technical careers. That's why the "Girls' Day" marks an annual highlight in our calendar, where we joyfully open our doors. This time, we had the pleasure of welcoming 11 schoolgirls from Drosendorf Middle School.

During a comprehensive factory tour, the girls got an insight into the various professional fields at Pollmann. They also had the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the training workshop, showcasing their skills in soldering and working on the pneumatic table. Particularly valuable were the personal conversations with our female apprentices, who shared their own stories and experiences with the interested students.

Currently, the proportion of female apprentices at Pollmann is around 20%. A figure that we would like to see increase. Because: "Women are just as capable as men and bring a variety of new perspectives and approaches that enrich our teams," explains apprenticeship instructor Roman Zibusch.

The Girls' Day makes an important contribution to opening doors to technical careers for young women and sparking their interest in the diverse career opportunities in this field. And we at Pollmann are proud to be part of this initiative!
