With the comprehensive planning of precautionary measures, in the event of a crisis, the optimum capacity to act is ensured. With the production processes, appropriate measures are taken to avoid operational incidents and to reduce incident-related environmental consequences. These emergency plans are coordinated with the relevant authorities.

Environmental management system
Pollmann also promotes environmental protection with suppliers and customers. The environmental activities and the organization have been consistently developed further to the standard of a certified environmental management system in accordance with the international standard DIN EN ISO 14001 and integrated into the existing quality management system in 2004. Pollmann regards environmental protection as a task to be undertaken jointly with suppliers and customers. Environmentally compatible methods and technologies are preferred with suppliers.
The fostering of good relations with the suppliers ensures that their business activity, products and services also contribute to a continuous improvement in the measurable effects on the environment. Using an environmental management system is therefore recommended to them.
